Story Time: An interactive read-aloud of Russell Wrestles the Relatives followed by a fun Q & A.  (20 minutes)

K-6: Wrestling With Words: Russell Wrestles the Relatives is sure a tongue-twister!  This 30-45-minute presentation (adjusted for age-level) uses the book as a launching pad to discover alliteration, other language tools, and how authors choose just the right words to use in their stories.  Kids are challenged to think up their own tongue-twisting “wrestler name” using alliteration and given time for Q & A.

6th - Adult: Picture Book in a Day Workshop: This two-hour workshop leads participants through the creation of a picture book from the idea to the satisfying end.  Through the incorporation of brain-storming and writing exercises, the workshop enables attendees to create the framework for a picture book ready for writing and revision by the end of the day.
